What is a winter stay at Dove Cabin like?+
Winter at the cabin is something else. The stone fireplace becomes the heart of the place. Snow on 110 acres of open pasture and woodland is stunning. The private sauna is at its best in cold weather. Deer, fox, and eagles are regular visitors to the property in winter — often right outside the windows.
Can we cook Christmas dinner at the cabin?+
Absolutely. The kitchen is fully equipped — oven, premium appliances, full cookware, and plenty of space. Many of our holiday guests do a full Christmas dinner at the cabin, then spend the rest of the stay exploring or simply not moving from the fireplace.
Is there snow at Dove Cabin in December?+
The Virginia Piedmont sees snow several times a winter, though it's not guaranteed. When it does snow, 110 acres of open pasture and hardwood forest become something extraordinary. Either way, the cabin is warm, the fireplace is real, and the sauna is waiting.
